Apply pressure holding the pieces together for at least 30 minutes or according to read the instructions on the glue bottle. After the glue is firmly in place use the rubber band for a round surfaced item such as a vase or a cap, pegs or clothes pins in for a plate, to hold the broken pieces together. Your valuable should then be kept away in this state for a minimum of 24 hours or for as long as your glue bottle specifies.
